On June 5, 2008 The New York Public Library hosted its fourth annual Anti-Prom:
an alternative, safe space for all teens who may not feel welcome at official
school proms or dances. Themed "Cosprom," this year's event was held
in Astor Hall at the Humanities & Social Sciences Library. The evening's
special guest was Simon Doonan, an author and creative director of Barneys
NY. Initial funding provided by Time Warner. Special thanks to: Simon Doonan,
Johnny Dynell, Harry N. Abrams Inc., MAC AIDS Fund, and Chi Chi Valenti. Video
filmed and edited by James Murdock.
